this is me (accent vlog)

Say this:
Aunt, route, wash, oil, theater, iron, salmon, caramel, fire, water, sure, data, ruin, crayon, toilet, New Orleans, pecan, both, again, probably, spitting image, Alabama, lawyer, coupon, mayonnaise, syrup, pajamas, caught

Answer these:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that curls into a ball when you touch it?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you use to change the TV channel?

How'd I do? (: Didn't mean to leave out "theater." How do y'all say these words?

So funny, I never would have pictured you with an accent (cause you know, to me you have one). But it's so cute! What DO you call it when the rain falls but the sun is still shining??

You are so cute! I have never heard anyone say toilet like that before haha.

Does anybody have a name for what to call it when the sun is shining and it rains??

you are so darn cute! i love that this comes pretty close on the heels of your sister saying i should hear you talk, because i mentioned to her that even when i know people are from the south, i forget they have the corresponding accent.

i vlogged about this a million years ago and instead of doing another one, thought i'd just share the link with you: http://saamusings.blogspot.com/2011/01/i-ramble-lot.html

Brooke - there is! i can't remember what dialect it was that i had heard that on, but there is a certain region in the US that gives that a name.

you are adorable! i've never heard anyone calling it "rolling someone" before. very interesting! dialects are so fascinating.

i recorded one of these forever ago (when annie posted hers!) and then never posted it for some reason. i'll have to dig it up from whatever random folder it's in on my computer and post it.

I miss southern accents. Mine is getting more and more subtle the longer I live in Utah and I got tired of people looking at me funny. Excited to move to Georgia next summer so I can talk how I want :)

cute accent! I've never heard it called rolling before! The only thing I've heard about it raining while the sun is shining is what my grandma told me..."the devil is beating his wife." not sure what other people say though! :)

Aww..thanks girl! Ok it's a southern accent...no wonder I love it so much! I don't know how much of an accent I have but I do love pretending to do a southern black accent and any other accent. lol. I totally want to try this vlog accent thing!

Your accent is stronger than mine! But I bet if you heard mine you'd think differently! And the rpeat commenters are back! This time it's clear glasses. Over and over.

Haha, omg, you talk JUST like an Alabamian! That's awesome. I'm from Texas, but people tell me I don't have an accent. :P I went to Canada this summer, and no one believed I was from Texas because I was apparently the only one without an accent...but I wish I had one! That was too cute. I love country accents.

Haha I knew you were from the south, but before I pressed play, I totally didn't think you would sound like that. If I were to do one, I wouldn't sound like I'm from Miami because I have lived away for so long.
